JAMIE PITTMAN
The ability to influence, support and inspire has always been fundamentals of my own personality. These characteristics alongside my own sporting background, becoming a Sports Therapist just always felt the natural career path for me. Now 7 years on from my graduation from the University of Bath with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Therapy, the experiences across these years have felt that I have the chance everyday to fulfil my passion. I feel there is no greater feeling than being able to wholly change someone’s physical state and mindset within an hour. This is no doubt the most rewarding aspect of what I do. My passion is to educate people on their body, and the appropriate methods their body specifically needs as a unique individual. Whether this is, relating to an individual's day-to-day work and lifestyle, or exercise/sporting performance. Everything I do simply comes down to working with what is best for your body, and not against it.
I’ve perused different avenues within my field, conducting research into various niche topics, covering physiological and psychological themes. This includes research into the weight loss and control techniques of British jockey’s and the psychological implications of a weight-loss culture; also studying the influences that Hydrotherapy (in Dead-Sea Salt Water) has upon fundamental phases of rehabilitation to chronic conditions, and amputations; and furthermore the influences Whole-Body Cryotherapy at -95 degrees has on professional athletes and those with acute and chronic injuries.

I have been fortunate to meet and work for some incredible people along the way, from professional athletes including footballers, runners, jockeys, hurdlers, sprinters, and dancers; as well as recreational enthusiasts and influential individuals within many health, commercial and business sectors. I have established ProActive from the start of my career, delving straight into driving my own practice with my own methodologies to truly help every patient I meet. I pride myself on professionalism, honesty and dedication to achieving the right results for my patients. This drive has created three clinics across Berkshire which I continually apply my practices and experiences within each week. This is my lifelong passion, which I hope comes across to all I meet.
